1982 was a significant year for me.

Prior to 1982, I self-financed my BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and MSc in Engineering Production and Management tertiary educations in the UK before my appointment as Teaching Company Research Associate in Warwick University in the UK in 1980.

In Warwick University, I developed and implemented my computer-aided Integrated Manufacturing Management System (IMMS), forerunner of the current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in British Leyland, a UK automotive manufacturer.

My IMMS included computer-aided Payroll, Inventory Management, Just-in-Time Purchasing, Production Capacity Simulations, and real-time Production Scheduling.

The system was designed to be simple enough to be operated by current employees to improve employee experiences and enable employee collaboration across the organisation. It helped reduce £1.22 million inventory holding costs and minimised production downtimes due to stock shortages when officially launched in 1982.

In the same year, I was involved in a near fatal road traffic accident in Singapore. I lost consciousness for a month and was semi paralysed for almost a year. My near-death experience changed my life perspective to focus on using my academic knowledge, research skills, and work experiences to develop and implement practical solutions for global crisis situations.

In 1986, my book “First Steps Towards Computing” was published to help adults become aware of the new workplace changes required to take advantage of the microcomputers that were becoming available.

In 2001, to update my IT skills, I secured my MSc in Business Information Systems.

In 2008, my book “Generating Free Electricity at Home with Solar Energy” was my contribution to enable homeowners to save money on their household energy bills, improve urban air quality, and mitigate global warming.

In 2009, I authored my book “Change We Need to attain Stress Free Living” with practical tips for Attaining Beneficial Change with Determination and Efforts (ABCDE).

In 2010, I secured my PhD in “Employee Relationship Planning (ERPII)” with my seven generative strategies to develop positive employee relationships for transformational change in the workplace.

In 2012, I was granted a UK patent for my innovation to improve efficiency of road vehicles. Since then, I have installed my low-cost aftermarket device, XECON Optimiser, in about 15,000 road vehicles in 12 countries to boost urban fuel economy and reduce toxic tailpipe exhaust emissions. It is suitable for most of the current worldwide 1.4 billion fossil fuel powered road vehicles.

In 2020, I completed transformation of my UK residence to a Zero Carbon Home by discontinuing the use of natural gas for cooking, hot water, and heating together with generating free electricity at home with solar energy. I have reduced my energy bill, improved neighborhood air quality and am making a positive contribution towards mitigating global warming and related climate change.
